Feed extruders are designed to process whole grains into expanded sticks or flakes.
During extrusion, profound changes occur in the nutrient structure of the raw material: starch breaks down into simple sugars, proteins are denatured, anti-nutritional factors in legumes are deactivated, and harmful microflora is eliminated. As a result, the nutrients contained in the feed become much more accessible.
At the same time, amino acids and vitamins are preserved due to the short processing time, promoting up to 90% nutrient absorption in animals. The finished products are convenient to store and transport, as they do not separate or create dust.
