Household grain extruder EGK-80, 7.5 kW, is designed for preparing feed for pets, poultry, and fish, with a productivity of up to 80 kg/h. The output is a homogeneous stick, which can be further processed using a special shredder if needed. The extruder operates on 380 V mains and is ideal for small home or farm use.

Advantages of extruded feed:

1. In the pressing chamber, the feed is ground and heated to 180°C under 40–60 atmospheres of pressure. Upon exiting the die, the pressure difference causes the grains to foam, increasing in volume more than five times, yielding five times more feed for the farm.

2. Ultra-fast heat treatment breaks down poorly digestible starch into simple carbohydrates and sugar while preserving most vitamins and proteins. High temperature eliminates pathogenic microflora and fungi, even present in dried grains.

3. The feed is disinfected in the extruder, which is especially beneficial for young animals sensitive to bacteria and other harmful microorganisms.

4. Spoiled, underripe, and almost any quality of grain can be used.

5. The extruded feed forms sticks that are pleasant in taste and readily eaten by animals with minimal waste.
