Product Description
The FermX KGM-100 feed pellet machine is designed for the production of high-quality pelleted feed for chickens, broilers, pigs, rabbits, quails, cattle, horses, fish, and other agricultural animals in Austria. Pellets are produced through mechanical compression of loose feed materials such as bran, oil cake, grain mixtures, and grain processing by-products. Due to the high density of the pellets, animals and poultry are able to consume more feed at once, significantly improving feeding efficiency and nutrient intake.

Pellets produced by the FermX KGM-100 have a uniform shape and composition, ensuring balanced nutrition regardless of animal age, health condition, or feeding behavior. Animals cannot selectively consume individual feed components, which guarantees equal nutrient distribution within the herd. Granulated feed also features reduced moisture content, allowing longer storage periods without quality loss. Owning a pellet machine significantly reduces feed production costs, as in-house feed manufacturing is more economical than purchasing ready-made feed. Additionally, farmers can prepare feed mixtures based on individual recipes tailored to specific nutritional requirements. The machine is equipped with a die featuring hole diameters from 2 to 6 mm, enabling production of pellets of various sizes.

Advantages of Feed Granulation
Granulation reduces feed production costs while extending storage life and increasing feed density, allowing animals to receive more nutrients within a smaller feed volume. The process prevents stronger animals from selecting preferred components and leaving weaker animals with nutritionally incomplete feed. Up to 95% of mold colonies producing harmful toxins are eliminated during processing. Starch is partially converted into dextrins, improving nutrient absorption, while fat is evenly distributed across the feed surface, supporting better digestion. All pellets maintain identical structure and composition, ensuring uniform feeding conditions. The pellet machine is equipped with a single-sided die made of high-alloy hardened steel with selectable hole diameters from 2 to 6 mm.

Operating Principle and Technical Specifications
A motor operating at 1500 rpm drives the die via pulleys and shaft transmission, while rollers pressed against the die force the feed material through die openings to form pellets. The machine is equipped with a motor power of 1.5 kW (380–400 V) or 2.2 kW (220–240 V). Using interchangeable dies, pellets with diameters from 2 to 6 mm can be produced with a productivity of up to 40 kg per hour. Roller diameter is 60 mm, roller width is 22.5 mm, and die diameter is 100 mm.
