The OS-280 screw press dewaterer is the highest-capacity model in the series, designed for continuous and intensive operation with large quantities of organic materials and high-moisture waste. It is intended for companies and processing facilities that handle significant amounts of biomass every day and require high capacity, stable operation and reliability under demanding operating conditions.

Thanks to its screw system and slotted screen, the machine enables continuous separation of liquid from solid material without the use of coagulants or chemical agents.

Depending on the type and properties of the raw material, the final moisture content of the solid fraction can be reduced to as low as 60%. The machine also allows the process intensity and operating conditions to be adjusted to the properties of the processed material.

Operating Principle

Material with a moisture content of approximately 85–95% is fed into the working chamber, where a rotating screw transports it along the slotted screen. As the material moves through the chamber, the liquid and solid fractions are mechanically separated.

The liquid fraction passes through the screen slots and is discharged from the machine. The solid fraction remains inside the chamber, where it is gradually compacted and then directed towards the outlet.

The small clearance between the screw and the screen helps clean the filtration surface and reduces the risk of clogging, ensuring stable operating conditions.

Dewatering Adjustment

The OS-280 is equipped with an adjustable pressing and closing mechanism operated by a handwheel and counterweights. This allows the pressure inside the working chamber to be adjusted according to the properties of the processed material.

Increasing the pressure enables more intensive dewatering and reduces the moisture content of the solid fraction. Reducing the pressure, on the other hand, increases the machine's throughput.

This design allows the operating parameters to be adjusted according to the type and characteristics of the raw material.

Construction and Materials

The screw and key working components are made of stainless steel, making the machine suitable for processing wet materials and operating under demanding conditions.

The low screw speed ensures quiet operation and helps reduce electricity consumption.

Control System

The dewaterer is equipped with a control cabinet providing basic system protection, including:

• undervoltage protection.
