Matrices come in two types: movable and fixed — for pellets and feed. Movable matrices have an internal countersink hole, while fixed matrices have an external countersink hole. The inserts of feed and pellet matrices have different depths and funnel angles (the funnel is the conical part of the hole). This means that the countersink hole can be located both above and below. We can also make custom matrices according to customer drawings and samples.

This test is carried out by the quality control department using the Rockwell method and special equipment. This is a non-destructive test method in which an indenter is inserted into the material, and the penetration depth is measured under a constant load for each hardness level.
