The Drum Screener KB-5 is an advanced complex designed for precise separation of bulk materials by fraction size. The unit effectively separates oversized elements from a homogeneous, finer mass of raw material, ensuring high quality of the final product and stability of further technological processes. This solution is applied in the construction, mining, and timber industries, as well as wherever accurate screening and calibration of raw materials are required.

Operating Principle The calibrator is based on a rotating drum screen mounted on a solid, welded frame. The design includes a circular drum screen, a chain drive with a gear motor, a feeding screw with a hopper, and a material transport system. During operation, the rotating and slightly tilted drum moves the material, enabling uniform screening. Fine fractions pass through the screen openings, while larger elements are separated and directed to the discharge. The device effectively calibrates materials such as sand, aggregate, coal, peat, sawdust, and other bulk raw materials.

The modernized KB-5 complex includes:

• KBL-1 Feeding Bunker: 8.8 m³ capacity, equipped with two vibration motors and a pre-screen for raw material calibration.

• Two Belt Conveyors.

• Drum Calibrator. The TLU discharge conveyor is available in various lengths: 3 m, 5 m, 7 m, and 9 m. In the standard KB-5 configuration, the TLU conveyor is 5 m long and equipped with a 2.2 kW CMRV 090 1/60 gear motor.
